Former All Blacks first-five eighth Stephen Donald rated Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula as his Player of Round 4 of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition.
Donald made his pick during TV’s rugby programme Breakdown.
“It’s the way Isaiah controlled the game for the Fijian Drua and how he set-up play,” he said as Ravula spearheaded Drua’s attack as they went on to beat Chiefs 28-24 at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
Donald kicked over the All Blacks winning penalty when they beat France 8-7 in the final of the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.
During the encounter, Ravula kicked over two conversions and three penalties for a tally of 13 points.
It brought his points to 135 as the surpassed Teti Tela’s 124 to become the Drua’s top points scorer in Super Rugby.
Tela took to social media yesterday to congratulate Ravula and wish him well.
“Yes, records are meant to be broken,” he added.
