Apia, Samoa – 23 June 2025 – Former MP, Lealailepule Rimoni Aiafi is now taking the stand in the high-profile court case where he is one of the complainants against six people accused of conspiracy and defamation.

Lealailepule is denying all accusations made by defendant Samuelu Sam Sua that are linked to the unresolved hit and run accident at Vaitele on 21 April 2021.

Sam claimed he saw the complainant at the site of the accident as well as the involvement of money to silence the defendant, a gun in an alleged conspiracy to assassinate two Cabinet Ministers.

Leala took the stand about 1100 this morning and has yet to be cross examined by defense counsels.

The case continues in its final week.
