S-Titans were crowned the undisputed Kings of Honiara’s social football on Monday 17 November 2025 at the home of football, Lawson Tama Stadium.
This was after convincingly beating a determined TKO side 3-1 in the grand-final of the 2025 Honiara Masters Football League.
The Honiara Masters Football League is a social soccer league for senior citizens over the age of 35 in Honiara, aimed at promoting physical activity, social connections, and healthy lifestyles.
With the grand-final victory, S-Titans remained the only unbeaten side in the league this season on their way to lifting the title.
S-Titans started the final on the back foot, with several key players missing due to work and family commitments and had to re-shuffle their starting eleven.
This was not going to deny S-Titans the deserved title and like they have done on so many occasions this season under the guidance of coach and captain the former Solomon Islands defender Leslie Leo, they yet again proved their fighting spirit to win under any circumstances.
With Leo leading the back-four alongside former Solomon Islands football reps Jefferey Sipele and Welshman Houkarawa, the flamboyant former Solomon Islands playmaker Judd Molea and William Misibini in mid-field and Yohan Doiwale, Sammy Ramoni and Douglas Marau upfront, S-Titans were primed for victory.
A special addition to the Titans’ line-up this year is the old but safe hands of former Solomon Islands goalkeeper, Severino Aefi between the sticks who was awarded the Golden Glove award after the final.
S-Titans cruised to an early lead, when Philip Lilomo on the right flank spotted the run of striker Yohan Doiwale who beat the TKO offside trap with a clever run behind the back four before laying off a perfect pass to Sammy Ramoni at the far post to tap into the empty net.
The score line remained 1-0 at the break and the Titans thought they made the game safe in the second half when Judd Molea made it 2-0 from close range.
TKO, against the run of play, got back into the game when a poor clearance from Philip Lilomo in defence landed at the foot of a TKO player at the edge of the area to finish from distance.
Any hopes of a TKO comeback faded in the dying minutes when Judd Molea eased past three defenders to expertly finish low to the near post to seal victory for S-Titans.
S-Titans coach and captain Leo while praising his team for the well-deserved victory also congratulated all participating teams for another successful season of the Honiara Masters.
“For S-Titans all the teams and players, everyone of us playing in the Honiara Masters are all winners for coming out and choosing to kick for health and stay active physically,” he said.
The former national defender highlighted that S-Titans’ togetherness as a team and pure passion for football is the driving force behind their success in the Honiara Masters this year.
“As a social club, we at S-Titans the one thing we have in common is our love for football. We enjoy as brothers socially and enjoy playing the game together on the pitch.
“At our old age, it is good to able to still enjoy football even at a social level. Because at the end of the day, our health matters, and that’s what this is all about. Its not about losing or winning,” the S-Titans captain said.
S-Titans is a social football club made up of former national football players and friends of football.
Apart from competing in the Honiara Masters, S-Titans also participated in international Masters Competition like the Gold Coast Masters in Australia in 2024 and are looking to compete in more international social competitions in 2026.
