Rookie Flying Fijians lock Setareki Turagacoke believes they must keep an eye on Ireland’s No.8 Caelan Doris in Sunday (Fiji time) morning’s Test clash at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Speaking to SUNsports, the 18-year-old said Doris is one of the best Ireland forwards.

“I must stick to the gameplan (set by the coaches) if given the chance to play against Ireland,” Turagacoke who plays for French Top 14 club Stade Francais said.

“They (Ireland) are going to come hard at us as they are one of the best teams in the world.”

Named on the reserve bench, Turagacoke said he adored Doris playing style and had been following his progress.

“I think we’ll try our best to close all the gaps from him and they are really good with their scrums.”

Turagacoke said he is grateful for the opportunity to play among players who he grew up watching on television.

“Now we’re representing our beloved nation in international rugby. I can’t even imagine that I’ll be here with the players as I was focusing on playing in the Top 14 with my club Stade Francias. It’s a great opportunity to be here as it’s always been my dream as a kid to wear this white jersey.”

Turagacoke was brought into the squad to replace injured Isoa Nasilasila and scored a try in his debut Test match against Spain last Sunday in Valladolid.

“The players are pretty excited for this game,” he said.

“We all talk about having faith in this team by playing on Saturday (Sunday, Fiji time) and I think we’ll get this one.”

The match kicks-off at 3.10am.
