Fijian Drua utility back Tuidraki Samusamuvodre hopes for a fruitful 2025 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season.
This was after he injured his ankle last season and was rested throughout the competition.
However, coming out of rehab he played for Nadi in the Skipper Cup competition and the Inkk Mobile Farebrother Challenge.
Samusamuvodre said he had injured his ankle in their opening Super Rugby clash against eventual winners Blues in Whanagarei, Auckland.
“Honestly, I did not feel well especially many were hoping to see me play at No.12,” the former Fiji Warriors captain said.
The Namotomoto, Nadi, native plays on the wing, centre but he is a speciallist No.10.
“I had to undergo a scan, as there were damaged veins and it took a long time to recover and to be cleared.
“12 is a position I played in before and will go at it again but due to the injury I had to recover.
“I will go with what the coach knows will be best for me.”
Samusamvodre said he opted not to have surgery but instead focused on the rehab.
