The significant investment that has gone into The Point group’s new multi-storey dining destination, The International, is finally paying dividends – or so they might say in Martin Place.
Despite its location among banks and investment firms in Sydney’s civic heart, The Grill on level two of The International isn’t your usual power lunch spot, nor do you need a Patrick Bateman-level business card to dine here.
Forget mahogany and leather. This grill is positioned on a curved outdoor terrace, where sunlight streams across S-fold curtains and lipstick-red banquettes.
The menu is as elegant as you might expect. Think shimmering, sashimi-style pearl meat and WA-sourced black marron, dribbled in smoky vadouvan butter. Steaks dominate the grill section of the menu, including a superb CopperTree Delmonico retired dairy cow, but you’ll also find Berkshire pork chops, wagyu beef tongue and Wimmera duck neck on the coals.
Add in worldly wines and warm, professional service and you get an experience that would make the Fortune 500 of food.
