The pioneering bar in Fitzroy that was a training ground for many bartenders has gone into liquidation.
The Everleigh cocktail bar on Gertrude Street in Fitzroy has announced it is closing, after yesterday appointing a liquidator.
The bar was opened in 2011 by couple Michael and Zara Madrusan, and became a training ground for many of the city’s best bartenders. Its old-world style and attention to the fundamentals of making cocktails earned it a solid reputation here and abroad, picking up many industry prizes.
