‘Thank you for looking after us’

The Kadavu women’s rugby team presented the traditional i-tatau to the Turaga Na Ka Levu Ratu Tevita Makutu and to thank the vanua o Nakuruvakarua for accommodating them.

The Kadavu women’s rugby team had been camping in Sila Village in Nadroga for the past 16 weeks to play in the Royal Tea Ranadi Cup competition followed by the promotion relegation competition.

The team had been training at the Sigatoka sand dunes and also at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.

The Vatiseva Cavuru-captained side won the Ranadi Cup and is ahead of Tailevu, Cakaudrove and Navosa on the promotion relegation series.

Kadavu takes on Cakaudrove at Ratu Ganilau Park, Savusavu, tomorrow.
