Samuela Tamanisau’s hardwork and determination was enough to secure a bronze medal for Tavua College.
Tamanisau threw a distance of 53.45 metres in the Intermediate boys javelin in Day two of the Fiji Secondary School Athletics Finals.
“I want to thank God for the strength and my coaches for their support,” he said.
“I notice a major difference in my second year competing at the Coke games. I was nervous last year but I’m more confident this year.”
Tamanisau said he faced alot of challenges in his preparation for the Fiji Finals.
“I hope to continue working hard with my academic so I can make a life of myself and give back to my family,” he said.
“I also play rugby league for my school in the center position.”
