The Nadroga Stallions netball team continued working on their fitness to prepare for next weekend’s FinanceHub Super League match.
The competition takes a break this weekend.
Speaking to SUNsports yesterday, Nadroga coach Asinate Korovulavula said the players have been running on the beach and would take to the court to work on their game.
“We have learnt from our weaknesses and have focused on improving them during training,” she said.
“We will need to improve our ball work and court work.”
Korovulavula said it has been difficult to get her players to come to train at Lawaqa Park since most of them live in villages.
“The girls still find a way to attend training and the feedback from them is always positive,” she said.
“Even though it’s a break, we still have the momentum as the players are striving for better results in the upcoming games.”
Korovulavula said the competition has been intense after four rounds.
“All the teams are always prepared to come out as winners at the end of the game. We are fighting hard to go up another level.
“We are looking forward to performing better after the break despite all the things we’ve been facing. The players never missed a day of training this week. We cannot afford to miss training as every team wants to come out winners at the end of every game. We look forward to our upcoming matches.”
