The Naisa Navuma captained- Nadroga rugby team will leave no stones unturned as they face Naitasiri in the semi-final of the Skipper Cup competition at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori, on Saturday.
Last Saturday, the Stallions thumped Tailevu 41-28 in the quarter-final at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka.
The Stallions ran six tries to three within the 80-minute one way battle as the host side up the tempo in the first minute of play.
Nadroga vice-captain Michael Naitokani said despite their win there were areas of their game that were exploited by the Tailevu side.
“We will go back to the drawing board and get our finishing improved before the semi-final clash,” he said.
“Unfortunately, our scrum was not what it was supposed to be. There were lots of unforced errors in our scrums. We need to keep our discipline if we are to be the strong team in the semi-final.”
Naitokani said one of the reasons, they did poorly in the scrum was because their key props were injured. We will come back hard this week. Hopefully, these props recover so we can become effective in the scrums.”
Nadroga will be banking on robust wingers Taniela Rakuro and Junior Ratuva, Also full-back Anare Tuitai, first-five-eight Joeli Baleilevuka, and openside flanker Simeli Naituvi to name a few.
The match kicks-off at 3pm.
