The Suva Cricket Association (SCA) has partnered with Sportsworld and Cricket Fiji to celebrate its 70th anniversary with Twenty20 Super League 2025 competition.
The official launch of the Sportsworld and Suva Cricket T20 sponsorship took place in Suva yesterday.
The landmark partnership will elevate the tournament to new heights, drawing in national and regional cricketing stars.
Sportsworld general manager, Vinod Kumar said they are honoured to support this landmark event.
“We believe in the power of sports to inspire and unite people, and we look forward to an electrifying tournament,” Kumar said.
Cricket Fiji chief executive officer Sitiveni Rokoro said: “This partnership reflects our vision to promote and develop cricket in Fiji. The T20 Super League 2025 will showcase our talent and reaffirm our nation’s love for the game.”
Since its establishment in 1955, the SCA has played a pivotal role in the development of cricket in the country, nurturing young talent and promoting the sport at grassroots and professional levels. The T20 Super League 2025 will serve as a grand tribute to this legacy, showcasing high-energy matches, top-tier competition, and a celebration of Fiji’s rich cricketing heritage.
SCA president, Sumanta Rout said they are tthrilled to celebrate 70 years of cricket in Suva with this grand tournament.
“The T20 Super League 2025 will be a testament to our commitment to the sport and our passion for bringing the cricketing community together,” he said.
Rout said they are grateful to the Suva City Council for providing Albert Park to start this tournament at a reasonable price.
He said the 12 teams participating in the competition; Police, Army, Nasaqalau, Moce, CAF Warriors, Cicia, Komo, CF Development, CF Womens, BSP and Ono-i-Lau.
