A small Waikato community has seen two “unrelated” fatal crashes in one day.
A police spokesperson said the latest single-vehicle crash occurred on Oregan Rd, Ngāhinapōuri, at about 7.45pm.
“One person died at the scene, a second person sustained serious injuries,” the spokesperson said.
“The road is currently closed while the Serious Crash Unit conduct a scene examination.”
