Solomon Ports has announced the winners of the 2025 Solomon Ports 69th Anniversary Speech Contest held on Wednesday 4th June.
In a statement issued by Solomon Ports Media, it congratulated Ms. Stella Maebiru of Selwyn College as winner of the Senior Category, who presented on the topic: “𝑺𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒎𝒐𝒏 𝑷𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒕 69: 𝑵𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒈𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝑳𝒆𝒈𝒂𝒄𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑮𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒕𝒉 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒆.”
Ms. Hetina Pulu of White River Community High School (CHS) came out as the winner of the Junior Category.
Her speech is on: “𝑷𝒐𝒓𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆: 𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝑺𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒎𝒐𝒏 𝑷𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒔 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒔, 𝑺𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅𝑬𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏.”
A total of 18 students from 10 schools participated in the competition, which was organised by Solomon Ports as part of our 69th Anniversary celebrations on Wednesday morning at the Unity Square.
The aim was to encourage students to research and reflect on the history, progress, achievements, and future aspirations of Solomon Ports—and to better understand the vital role the port plays in the development of our nation.
