School table tennis program

The Honiara Table Tennis Association (HTTA) has continued to roll out its program called the “Smash Down Barriers (SDB)” to schools in Honiara.

HTTA confirmed to Star Sport on Tuesday that they have visited and signed memorandum of understanding (MOU) with various schools in Honiara to roll out the program for the second quarter of this year.

“We have visited and signed MoU with various schools as we ready to roll the program this quarter starting this week.”

With the program roll out, the HTTA ongoing President and the Smash Down Barriers Country Coordinator Kevin Olea said, they will continue with the program roll out to the continuing schools from the first quarter including Red Cross Special Development Center, Shama Christian school and Aruligo Adventist School in North West Guadalcanal.

Olea also revealed that they also visited and signed MOU with some of the schools which they will start rolling the SDB program to them.

These school includes; Burns Creek Adventist Primary school, Palm Drive International Primary, Perch Primary school, and Bethesda special Disability Center.

Olea added that the program further rolled out to schools in the province including Arnon Atomea and Adaua school.

He added, Adaua school is currently in full swing with the program after receiving their equipment.
