Former Home And Away star Sam Frost has announced that she’ll be offering exclusive content to her subscribers on Instagram.
Frost made the announcement on social media, offering those who pay $1.99 a month a subscriber badge, shout-outs, coaching, classes and even the option to ask her anything.
It comes after Instagram had recently begun showcasing a paid subscription service, which allows those who pay access to additional content.
Instagram has promoted subscriptions as a way for creators to build deeper connections for their most engaged followers, as well as allowing them to earn a recurring monthly income.
The option for subscriptions in Canada, Australia and the UK is currently operating at an invitation-only basis. Invitations are sent to a creator’s inbox.
For creators in the US, the criteria for creators is that they must be 18-years-old, are based in the US, have at least 10k followers and meet their Partner Monetisation Policies and Content Monetisation Policies.
Creators are given the option to set the price of their subscriptions, from a minimum $0.99 to as high as $99.99.
Frost’s announcement comes after she revealed on The Morning Show last month that her wedding to fiance Jordie Hansen has been put on pause.
“To be honest, I’m the one putting the brakes on it,” she said.
“It is just so expensive! It’s hard to justify spending so much money because we want to buy a house, and now we’ve got a baby.”
The couple had welcomed their first child, Ted, in March and have said they’ll marry later on down the track — but their primary focus was their child.
“We will eventually, but I think that [at] the moment, our focus is little Teddy,” she said.
