“I took out time to work on the team’s combinations and some of my youth players could take the field and play alongside the senior players,” Chand said.

Star midfielder Edwin Sahayam and striker Ratu Anare are eligible to play for hosts Extra Supermarket Labasa in today’s first leg of the Pillay’s Garment Champion versus Champion against Rewa at Subrail Park.
This was confirmed to SUNsports yesterday by Fiji FA chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf.
“Sahayam and Ratu Anare transfer applications have been cleared,” he said.
Labasa have been training without coach, Ravneel Pratap, who was not available due to personal commitments.
In an earlier interview, interim coach Alvin Chand said they had been training for the past two weeks.
He is taking a cautious approach so that his key players don’t get injured before the match.
“I took out time to work on the team’s combinations and some of my youth players could take the field and play alongside the senior players,” Chand said.
Yusuf pointed out that the Extra Supermarket sponsored Rewa side is going to field Bruce Hughes and Kavaia Rawaqa.
The match kicks-off at 1.30pm.
