Meet our lovable pets of the week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
Dozy and Benjimin are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These lovely animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below!
Dog of the Week: Dozy
This girl is the friendliest, coziest little ‘wanna-be-lap-dog’ you’ll ever meet, and we’re giving you a rare “Reciprocated Love Guarantee!” That’s where no matter how much you love her, Dozy will return that love with interest.*
Dozy has clearly had experience with people on account of the fact she adores you, wants to be with you, wants to lick your hand through the fence and if you sit with her, you can guarantee this girl is going to try to sit on your lap.
Is it possible for people to be ‘size-est’ with animals? Because that might explain why she’s still waiting to be adopted. Seriously, if you want to love an animal who will love you back with cuddles, affection and attention, Dozy is your girl, regardless of size.
She’s really still a puppy. Dozy is about 15 months old so yes, you will be adopting a very large dog. Come and meet Dozy. You’ll soon see what the fuss is about.
*RLG is not legally enforceable. Terms and conditions apply. See in shelter for details. That said, Dozy will love you to bits.
Cat of the Week: Benjimin
At RSPCA ACT, we’re well aware of people’s intrinsic need to love. Loving an animal is perfect for the soul because most cats and dogs will lap it up and want more and more love. It feels great to love something and Benjimin here – well, he’s here to be your own personal love-absorbing machine.
He’d ideally be adopted into a home where there are several adults because just one probably won’t suffice. He’ll want your love, followed by the love from the next person and so on. He’s a serious attention seeker.
Benjimin likes to explore as well, so if you have a large area, that would be perfect. Allowing a cat to explore and utilise their curiosity is great for a cat’s well-being and helps them become comfortable.
You can visit our snuggle-hoarding boy, Benjamin, by just dropping by; no need to make an appointment. Look at his photo again. He’s saying, “You will love me, human. That is all.”
Pawnotes: The bright-eyed Lab Retriever named Tommy, who featured here two weeks ago, has been adopted and will spend the upcoming holiday season getting spoiled! Well done again, Canberra.
Visit RSPCA ACT today at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life. You won’t regret it!
