The Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) strongly denies an article published in the media entitled ‘Drugs Sold.’
These drugs have been destroyed and not sold as claimed in the media article.
The article mentions that drugs were sold to a group of foreigners, which is a total lie and a grossly misleading piece of information.
The RSIPF would like to make it very clear that there is no such thing as a ‘secret network of senior police officers orchestrating the sale’ of drugs.
The RSIPF said the right thing for the author and his sources to do is bring up their evidence to investigate and hold those responsible accountable by law and not just publish mere speculations in the media for whatever reason.
The article mentioned 500 kilograms of drugs removed from the exhibit room for sale, which is not true but a totally misleading and unfounded allegation.
The 500 kilograms of cocaine was destroyed as previously reported.
All the records of this transaction on the movements of these drugs for destruction are well accounted for.
RSIPF will commence its investigation into this continued spreading of false information in the media to bring those responsible for these lies to face justice.
