The Rodeck Singh coached Extra Supermarket Rewa side is expected to perform another clincher against Mahijibhai Hardware/Calgary Nadi in their second pool match in the Super Premier division at Churchill Park in Lautoka today.

This is after the side hammered Nadroga 7-0 in their opening pool game at the same venue yesterday.

Nippy John Orobulu scored five goals in a grand showcase of supreme football; the spectacular display showcased his skills and impact on the team.

The Solomon Islands international’s performance was instrumental in setting a62nd high standard for the rest of the tournament. His first strike was in the 21st, 25th, 62 nd, 77 th and in the injury time. The other goals for the Delta Tigers came from the boots of Asivorosi Rabo (30th) and Epeli Valevou (31st).

Rewa head coach Rodeck Singh said the side started the match on a great note.

He added that the next game plan is to shut down Nadi.

“We take one game at a time, now we look at how we want to go about business against Nadi and securing those three points is super important against us as well.”

Rewa plays Nadi at 6pm today.
