The Solrais Women’s Premier League (SWPL) reigning champions Henderson Eels FC has continued their unbeaten streak in the SWPL season 2025 after a hard-fought 2-1 victory against table leaders Naha FC recently.
The reigning champions Henderson Eels outclassed the table leaders 2-1 in an intensive catch-up fixture played at the East End Stadium over the weekend.
The intensive showdown saw the reigning champions Henderson Eels ended the Naha’s unbeaten run in the first round, handing them their first defeat in eight games.
The Eels had maintained a perfect record since the start of their title defence, with additional catch-up matches scheduled to finalize their standing in the first round.
Eels have return to the competition after representing the country in the Oceania Champions League tournament hosted in Tahiti in May.
After making history as the first women’s football club from the Solomon Islands to reach the semifinals of the tournament, the Eels returned to domestic action showcasing the experience gained from the regional competition.
Meanwhile, as Eels are back in action, they have to played crucial catch-up matches during the mid-season break before the final round of the SWPL25 season kicked off next month.
