Radrodro: Use Palm Sunday to reflect on families and values

Students should use Palm Sunday as a day to reflect on their families and values.

This was the message Education Minister, Aseri Radrodro shared in a statement, while conveying his best wishes to all the teachers, students and parents of Fiji.

“As we celebrate Palm Sunday today, it is a special day in Fiji and all around the world,” Mr Radrodro said.

“We will see children waving Palm branches with joyous vibes and singing the glory of the Lord Almighty and on the same note I wish you all a blessed Palm Sunday.”

Mr Radrodro reflected on a verse in the Bible, Matthew 21:9 which read “The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!”

He encouraged students to take this moment to reflect and appreciate the contribution of your families, teachers and friends in their life.

“We all learn the values of empathy and service to one another from each other.

“Together, we can create a culture of kindness and collaboration.”

Mr Radrodro said the people of Fiji are fortunate to be blessed with a rich tapestry of diverse cultures and backgrounds of students and teachers in our schools.

“This diversity strengthens our belief of community partnership as it enhances our teaching and learning environment.

“To all our parents and teachers, you have a profound impact on the lives of your students.

“Your continued dedication and commitments nurture their aspirations and shapes their futures.”

Mr Radrodro urged every teacher and student to keep this spirit of service alive in classrooms and homes.
