Errol Qaqa won gold in the men’s 100m hurdles.
Errol Qaqa added another gold to Team Fiji’s tally yesterday.
He clocked a time of 14.59s in the men’s 100 metres hurdles (1.067m).
Other medallists was Ratu Sukuna Memorial School (RSMS) student Loata Lewageena and Brieanna Rabakewa who won silver and bronze, respectively in the women’s discus throw.
Lewageena threw a distance of 48.15m while Rabakewa settled for third place with 45.61m.

The women’s trio included Heleina Young, Sera Nasilivata and Naibena Tuilawaki; Young clocked the best time in the heats with 25.19s while Nasilivata set a time of 25.31s. Tuilawaki ran a time of 26.17s in the heats this afternoon.
In the men’s 200m heats, Waisake Tewa clocked 21.48s, while Ratu Penaia Ramasirai and Francis Bakaniceva set a time of 22.50s and 22.51s respectively. The trio has also qualified to the semifinals.
Meanwhile, Young and Tuilawaki ran in last night’s women’s 400m final after this edition went to press while Waisea Tuiyabayaba was the lone Team Fiji in the men’s 400m final.
They were also part of the 4x100m relay final which was also held last night.
