Police investigating ‘assault’ after nurse allegedly stabbed during house call

An investigation has been launched following an “assault” in Rotorua where it is understood a nurse suffered stab-like injuries while on a house call.

A police spokesperson said they were “investigating an assault” at an address on Maxwell Rd in Ngongotahā, Rotorua after 12pm today.

“The victim was taken to Rotorua Hospital for treatment for their injuries.”

The Herald understands the victim is a nurse who was responding to a house call at the time.
