PM OUTLINES GNUT’S VISION, CALLS FOR UNITY

Prime Minister (PM) Jeremiah Manele, MP, has outlined his Government for National Unity and Transformation’s (GNUT) development vision, grounded in four key pillars: unity and stability, economic transformation, infrastructure development, and human capital development.

Highlighting major policy areas, PM Manele said the government would focus on:

– Diversifying the economy through agriculture, fisheries, tourism, and sustainable forestry and mining.
– Accelerating major projects like Bina Tuna Processing and Tina Hydro.
– Strengthening institutions and decentralizing services to the provinces.
– Expanding healthcare and education, especially technical and vocational training.

“We must not merely manage the present; we must shape the future,” the Prime Minister stated.

PM Manele has called for renewed unity and political stability during his address as well.

Speaking under the theme “Unity and Stability for Transformation and Prosperity,” the Prime Minister said the nation must rise above political division and work together as one people.

“Unity is not about agreeing on everything—it is about iu mi tugeda; honoring the greater good above personal gain,” the Prime Minister emphasized.

“Our strength lies in our diversity, resilience, and shared vision for a better tomorrow.”

He acknowledged the political turbulence over the past year and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to democratic integrity and national cohesion.
