A LOCAL business in Honiara, Tech Hub, is calling on local communities in Honiara for support in searching for and apprehending the remaining suspect in a break-in incident at the Tech Hub Koloale Shop in Central Honiara.
In an interview with Solomon Star on Friday, Tech Hub appeals to the public to come forward with essential information to support them and police to capture and arrest the last suspect.
After the break-in on Friday 31 January, an investigation was initiated and made progress with the apprehension of the four suspects.
However, one individual, Frank Firimolea remains at large.
Tech Hub said Firimolea is believed to reside in the Green Valley-Custom Garden area, East Honiara.
Therefore, it requests people in these communities to report any information about the whereabouts of Firimolea to local authorities because the investigation is still ongoing.
“We urge the public to come forward with any information about the remaining suspect. If you have any leads, please contact the police immediately or feel free to reach out to us and we can pass them on to relevant authourity.
“We strongly believe that by working together as a community, we can help apprehend this individual and prevent future break-ins, protecting local businesses from the loss of property owned through their hard work,” Tech Hub told Solomon Star in an interview.
“The theft occurred early Friday morning last week between 4:30am and 5:00am.
“During the incident, we identified several key factors that led to our progress in the investigation.
“A van was parked near the market next to the shop, blasting loud music to mask the noise as the thief was cutting the copper to gain entry.
“The van also diverted our security personnel, who were distracted by the driver at the market. This distraction allowed the theft to occur undetected for a short time. It is crucial that you help us ensure the apprehension of the final suspect,” Tech Hub added.
Firimolea is known to police for break-ins and has been in and out of prison for breaking into shops and buildings to steal valuable properties.
