Netball top jobs up for grabs

Netball Fiji has re-advertised the chief executive officer (CEO) and the Pearls head coach positions.

Both posts were first advertised on November 5.

The head coach position will be tasked with leading the national netball women’s team. It also includes leading the overall development and implementation of the Netball Fiji High Performance programme.

To ensure success in coaching role, applicants should have coached at international level and have demonstrated experience working with elite athletes and coaches, including devising and implementing successful programmes.

The vacancy closes before midnight on March 23. Those interested should send their intent to the Fiji Netball Association on netballfijivacancy@gmail.com.

Requirement for the CEO post include a Degree in Business Management and more than five years of senior management experience with financial and commercial background.

Interested applicants for the CEO role should email a detailed CV including details of three professional referees and a cover letter addressed to the President, Netball Fiji with the subject Netball Fiji-CEO to president@netballfiji.org by Wednesday March 31, 2025.

Both roles are full-time and will be based at the Netball Fiji office in Suva.

In an earlier interview Netball Fiji president RubyAnn Sorovaki indicated there were only two applicants for the head coach role. They were both overseas applicants.

She also confirmed in December there were four applicants for the CEO role; they were all shortlisted for the interview.

Former CEO Vivian Koster and Pearls head coach Unaisi Rokoura concluded their three-year term in December last year.

Meanwhile, also advertised is a Development coordinator and development officer will be looking at development, community engagements, running workshops and clinics and will assist in the implementation of development programmes, respectively.
