Kossa FC head coach Franco Ne’e is confident his side can match the strength of defending champions Central Coast FC as both teams prepare for a top-of-the-table S-League clash this Sunday at 1pm at Lawson Tama Stadium.
“Sunday’s game is crucial for us in determining who will top the table and to see where we stand as we head into the middle of Round one,” Ne’e told Star Sports.
“Tomorrow’s game is anyone’s game. We need to work hard and fight for it. We know securing three points won’t be easy, but we must give it our all.”
While Central Coast FC are on an impressive scoring run—netting 19 goals in just three matches—Ne’e remains confident that Kossa can contain their opponents’ attacking firepower.
“Sunday’s game will depend entirely on my players. If we are fully focused, I believe we can prevent them from scoring as heavily as they have in their previous matches.
“With most of my squad made up of young players alongside a few experienced ones, I believe our defense and attacking transitions are strong enough to match Central Coast and give them a tough game.”
Ne’e also confirmed the return of skipper Dennis Ifunaoa, who missed last weekend’s draw against Malaita Kingz due to suspension.
