The Vikash Chand coached Nawaka Blues is the first team to qualify for the Fiji FA National Club Championship 2024 at the end of the year.
This was after Mohammed Shalmeen and Shazil Valentine scored a goal each in a different half for the 10-man Blues to beat Gandhi Lionz 2-0 in the Sher Ali-sponsored Nadi Football Premier Local League final played under the floodlights at the Korovuto College grounds on Monday night.
Blues had the services of William Valentine, Christopher Kumar, goalie Samu Tamanisau, Shafeem Buksh, Mohammed Shalmeen, Sahil Valentine, and Mohammed Ayman.

Gandhi Lionz on the other hand had the services of Ame Votoniu, Christopher Chand, Vishant Reddy, and Ashneel Singh.
In the semi-final, the Blues beat Army FC 3-2 in penalty kicks while Gandhi edged DCA ONE 2-1 in an epic battle.
Nadi football board member Lawrence Kumar said Nadi FA has completed its local league on time.
“Blues will represent Nadi FA in the NCC, we congratulate them on their victory and hope they can bring those glory days which Tanoa FC did,” he said.
“We need to thank the teams, officials and supporters for rallying and working together this season. Hopefully we improve next year.”
In the senior division final, Girni FC claimed their first-ever title with a 1-0 over DCA II.
In the semi-final, Girni FC beat Korovuto 1-0, and DCA II beat Barara FC 1-0.
