Nadi FA needs K to prepare team for IDC

The Nadi Football Association requires around $17,000 to prepare their side for the 2024 FMF Inter-District Championship 2024 at Churchill Park, Lautoka, next week.

Nadi FA board of control executive Lawrence Kumar revealed this during thire fundraiser night at the Sylvia Hall in Malolo, Nadi, last Saturday night where fans turned up in huge numbers.

“The event was a grand success as we had a huge number of fans at the the event,” Kumar said.

“The association requires $17,000 for the me campaign and we need  on more sponsors to come on board as we aim to end the 22-year IDC winless jinx.

“The team had a good outing at the B.O.G but fell short in the final. However, the morale is high in camp and the focus is to win the cup in the next tournament.”

Nadi FA president Mohin Rafiq said that former Fiji Under-20 captain Abdulla Aiyaz has fitted well in the side since joining them last week.

Aiyaz is a Sydney-based player who is expected to combine with wily striker Ali Naseri who is joining the team soon.

On Sunday; the Green Machine side drew 1-1 with Navua in the friendly at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.

“It was free for all audience and it was a great opportunity for our fans to come out and support the team.”

 

Ticket prices

Meanwhile, the ticket prices for the IDC are set to accommodate fans of all ages. Grandstand tickets are priced at $30 for adults and $15 for children Under-10, while Pavilion B tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children UlO.

Fans in the Drua stands will pay $15 for adults and $8 for children UlO. Embankment tickets are available for $10 for adults and $5 for children UlO.
