Number eight Repeka Mudunavere scored twice for Sigatoka Methodist College as they beat Votualevu College 26-10 in the final of the Weet-Bix Raluve Under-16 Western Secondary Schools at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka, today.

The side defended their Western title for the third consecutive time. SMC led 12-5 at the breather.

The other tries came from winger Sereima Naruku and Seniwaite Sayabo with three successful conversions from first five eight Alitia Navukula.

However, Votualevu College from Nadi managed two tries to flanker Verenaisi Vananalagi and number eight Salome Navuda.

SMC is also the defending national champion and looks to be the team to beat this season.

Both qualified for the national quarters at the HFC Bank Stadium in two weeks’ time.
