The Western Provincial Government (WPG) has issued a formal notice to all current occupants of the MSG Building in Gizo, Western Province to vacate the premises.
According to the advisory all individuals, groups, or organizations presently using the facility are required to vacate the premises no later than Friday, 8th August 2025.
The move is in preparation for renovation and restructuring works to prepare the building for the upcoming National Healthy Setting Conference, which is scheduled to take place from 25th to 29th August 2025.
In a statement, WPG emphasized the importance of this action to ensure the facility is fit for national use and requested full cooperation from all affected parties to ensure a smooth and orderly relocation process.
“For further information or clarification, occupants are advised to contact the Deputy Provincial Secretary,” the statement said.
The Provincial Government expressed its appreciation for the public’s understanding and swift compliance with the directive.
The upcoming National Healthy Conference will be hosted at the MSG building in Gizo Western Province.
All the Provincial Health Officials and other delegation across the nation are expected to arrive on Gizo in the coming weeks.
The MSG Complex is normally used a resting place for all members transiting through Gizo by ships. It is also being used a space for market vendors who normally travel to Gizo sell their produce.
Some of the vendors use the place as their home for months.
