For the first time this year, people from around Vanua Levu will get the opportunity to watch football for free and access free to health checks at Subrail Park, Labasa, this weekend.
The National Wellness Medics Committee supported by the Ministry of Health and Medical Services has organised a two-day Inter-District Championship (IDC) with the aim to promote mental and physical health.
The two-day programme starts today and is sponsored by BSP Life.
Programme liaison officer Ravneel Ravikash Chand said six teams consisting of medical professionals from all around Fiji would compete.

“In Pool A we have Suva Medics, Vanua Medics, Nadroga Medics and in Pool B are Labasa Medics, Ba Aspen Medics and Lautoka Aspen Medics teams,” Chand said.
“This is not just a football competition among medical professionals but also a time to get together and bring about wellness.”
He said the Cup final will be played at 3pm on Sunday.
