Marist, SVC in close battle for boy’s title

Defending champions Marist Brothers High School leads the medal tally with 11 gold, 9 silver and 5 bronze medals.

There is a close battle in the boy’s division at the end of the first day on the 2024 National Schools Swimming Age Group Championships in Suva on Friday.  

Defending champions Marist Brothers High School leads the medal tally with 11 gold, 9 silver and 5 bronze medals. Following them closely in second place is Nadi’s Swami Vivekananda College with 11 gold medals, 8 silvers and 3 bronze.

In the girl’s division St Joseph’s Secondary School, the defending champions, holds a handy lead of 14 gold medals, 3 silver and 5 bronze.

Fiji National Schools Swimming president Patrick Bower said there are 57 schools participating and they are keeping an eye out for talented swimmers.
