Learn and Move On: Vocevoce

Vocevoce said he recalled watching the highlights via YouTube of Fiji’s narrow World Cup (32–26) loss to Wales last year.

Rising lock forward Mesake Vocevoce is focused on rebuilding his skillset and game knowledge to match up to the caliber of the senior players.

Vocevoce said the reason why he is doing that is because he wants the Flying Fijians to beat Wales on Monday morning (Fiji time).

“The experience has been great, especially being around the senior players,” he said.

“We want to keep building and try to be the best like them.”

Vocevoce said he gained valuable experience in their 57–17 loss to Scotland.

“It was a different environment, I tried to be myself and just play. My family urged me to play hard, listen to the coaches and enjoy the game.”

Vocevoce said he recalled watching the highlights via YouTube of Fiji’s narrow World Cup (32–26) loss to Wales last year.

“We’ve been building everyday learning from our mistakes from last week’s game,” he said.

“The bonding that the team has been great and we’re just looking forward to the next game.”

Vocevoce has requested for prayers from Flying Fijian fans around the globe.

“I’m just glad to be playing with these boys especially the ones that I’ve watched them play while growing up.

“We just need to learn from our mistakes against Scotland and focus on the next game, which is against Wales.”
