Lautoka Stars Player Laid to Rest

Ratudradra who was also a member of the National Netball Academy programme was laid to rest last Saturday. The 19-year-old passed away following a road accident in Lautoka on September 29.

Lautoka Stars will be without promising player Vani Ratudradra when they take on Suva Swifts IGA in the FinanceHub Super League final this Saturday.

Ratudradra who was also a member of the National Netball Academy programme was laid to rest last Saturday. The 19-year-old passed away following a road accident in Lautoka on September 29.

Suva Swift’s IGA secured first place with 21 points after the seventh round and a goal difference of 194% while Lautoka Stars followed in second place with 15 points and a goal difference of 126%.

The Baby Pearls team, Kacau, finished third while Nasinu Tactix sits in fourth place. These two teams will compete for the third-place playoff in the finals.

Nadroga Stallions will face Baby Pearls Kikau for the fifth-place playoff, while Nadi takes on Tailevu Doves for the seventh-place playoff.

Netball Fiji chief executive officer, Vivian Koster said: “It has been a long but good league season where we have unearthed new talent and seen the continued growth of athletes.

“Netball Fiji is always appreciative of the partnership with FinanceHub that has allowed our athletes to compete and put their case forward for selection into our national teams,” she added.

The final will be held at the Fiji National University (FNU) Gymnasium, Nasinu.
