With just a few days to go, excitement and momentum are building as the team aims to set a strong tone for the season ahead.

In a significant step forward for grassroots rugby development, BLK Fiji has formalised its partnership with the Lautoka Rugby Union in the signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the BLK Fiji head office in Tavakubu, Lautoka yesterday.

LRU president Inoke Momoedonu thanked BLK Fiji for the timely support and fresh new kits for the Maroons ahead of the 2025 Skipper Cup season.

“We are grateful to BLK Fiji for this new initiative. The boys are well-geared coming out of the offseason and are looking sharp as we prepare for our opening round this week,” he said.

“This partnership uplifts our union and helps us raise the standard for this year’s competition,” Momoedonu added.

BLK Fiji sales and marketing manager Donasiano Kalou said this partnership would see the company provide high-quality training and warm-up kits to the team throughout the season.

“We are proud to support the Lautoka Rugby Union by providing performance-driven off-field apparel that keeps our athletes comfortable and professional-looking before every match,” he said.

“Our partnership symbolises our continued commitment to developing rugby at all levels across Fiji.”

LRU treasurer, Jale Qicatabua, shared optimism for the new direction the team is heading towards. Furthermore, BLK Fiji and the Nadroga Rugby Union will renew their partnership as the MOU signing is scheduled for August 31.
