Yasnil Kumar felt proud to run on the HFC Bank stadium tracks and represent his school Xavier College.

The Ba lad is participating for the first time at the Fiji finals.

“It’s felt good and it was fun as well,” he said.

“I took part in the 400m and 4 x 400m in the sub-junior category.”

Kumar said he enjoyed running from a young age.

“I want to achieve more things and get bronze, silver or gold for my school,” he said.
“I just want to win a medal for my school next time I compete in Coke games.”

Kumar said he felt excited to compete with other athletes from the top secondary schools in the country.

“It was good running with other schools and making friends with them,” he said.

“I’d like to thank all my coaches and parents for the wonderful support they have given me.”
