Rowing: Single sculls men’s heats – Tom Mackintosh won his heat to move into the quarter-finals

Rowing: Single sculls women’s heats – Emma Twigg won her heat to move into the quarter-finals

Swimming: Women’s 100m butterfly heats – Hazel Ouwenhand finished fifth in her heat with a time of 58.03s. That wasn’t enough for her to clinch a spot in the top 16.

Swimming: Women’s 400m freestyle heats – Erika Fairweather won her heat with a time of 4:02.55 and moved into the medal race. Eve Thomas finished eighth in the same heat with a time of 4:11.86.

Rowing: Double sculls men’s heats – Robbie Manson and Jordan Parry came second in their heat to move into the semifinals.

Rowing: Double sculls women’s heats – Lucy Spoors and Brooke Francis won their heat to move into the semifinals.

Cycling: Women’s time trial road – Kim Cadzow, 7th place.
