Kadavu Calls on Other Teams to Prepare Well

“The girls do know that they have to play their hearts out and remain focused on their game plan,” Ratuwara said.

Royal Tea Ranadi Cup champs Kadavu have issued a stern warning for Tailevu in the next round of the promotion regulation clash at the Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka this weekend.

This is after the side hammered Navosa 69-12 in a one-sided affair at the same venue last weekend.

Lanky forward Kalesi Ridome came off the bench to score a total of four tries stamping her name as one of the top women rugby try scorers for the season.

Lock Salanieta Turaga, Alumita Mole and Mereisi Naqoqo have each crossed the try line twice while Arieta Tonono, Sereima Rauqe, and Vasemaca Ciriwai have scored a try each.

Team manager Paulina Ratuwara said the women knew how important their match against Navosa was. They played according to everyone’s expectation.

“The girls do know that they have to play their hearts out and remain focused on their game plan,” Ratuwara said.

“The players are injury-free but have ongoing colds and coughs but nothing major now; their morale is high.

“I guess they will be ready to pull another strong play in the competition.

“There is no backing off now, our focus in on Tailevu now.” Ratuwara who has been associated with rugby in the province of Nadroga said Kadavu will be a team to reckon with this weekend.

“We will run more tries that is the plan. We had scored eight tries in the first half and five more in the second in our last match.

“Hope other teams prepare well so that we can have even matches.”
