The Digicel Junior Kula Fiji (women) Under 16 team registered their first win of the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) women’s championship to keep their Ul 7 women’s World Cup campaign in Colombia alive.
They defeated Cook Islands 2 – Oat the HFC Bank stadium in Suva yesterday.
Sisilia Kuladina scored Fiji’s first goal in the 14th minute for a 1 -0 lead.
Grace Lakavatu followed up with a second goal in the 19th minute to extend their lead to 2-0.
Player of the match was awarded to striker Kuladina after a stand-out performance against the Cook Islands team.
