Queanbeyan is celebrating two decades of multicultural festivals on Sunday and Mayor KENDRICK WINCHESTER is promising great food choices and two stages stacked with performances from more than 30 countries.
The 20th annual Queanbeyan Multicultural Festival is being celebrated at Queanbeyan Park on Sunday, March 2 and Mayor Kenrick Winchester is promising the “incredible event we all know and love”.
“It’s that time of year again where we embrace the diversity of our region with a festival of food, dance and culture,” he said.
“Join us from 10am to 4pm for fabulous multicultural food, cultural performances and a welcoming, friendly-family event.
“This year will not disappoint, with two stages stacked with performances from over 30 countries including Peru, Poland, India and the Philippines.

“You can eat your way around the world with delicious food vendors cooking up Portuguese, Malaysian, Bhutanese and Turkish food plus some Australian favourites.
The mayor said there would be plenty of activities for children, including crafts, jumping castles, rock climbing, face painting and more.
“This year we celebrate the 20th year of collaboration with the Queanbeyan Multicultural Centre to produce the incredible milestone event we all know and love today – and we can’t wait to see you on Sunday,” Mayor Winchester said.
“Dedicated parking for the event is at the Queanbeyan Showground. Please make sure you are parked at the showground and follow the marked pedestrian paths over to the event.
“Check our Facebook and web event pages for more information closer to the event including the event program and site map.”
