Expect the investigation to wrap up this week.
This was confirmed to SUNsports by Commission of Inquiry chairperson, Edwin Wainiqolo during an interivew yesterday.
Wainqolo confirmed the investigation is nearing its conclusion as there is only one person left to be questioned and that is former South Pacific Boxing Promotion promoter Fredy Chand.
“We have already interviewed Mohammed Shameem.
“Freddy has volunteered to come up to assist,” he said.
The investigation is prior to the boxing incident which saw the passing away of the late Ubayd Haider.
“We were suppose to interview Chand this week (yesterday) but we cannot as there is time difference.
“He lives overseas and we are here in Fiji so we thank him for coming forward and availing himself to be interviewed Wainiqolo added the findings of the investigation will go directly to the Minister of Youth and Sports Jese Saukuru.
“If there’s any clarification on the findings needed, we will have a press conference to stress the is-sues and the findings,” he said.
