The Official Independence Parade by the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) and Uniform Groups will be staged at the National Stadium in King George, East Honiara on Monday 7th July.
A statement issued by Government Communication Unit said, the event will commence at 6am and will run until 10am on that day – Monday, 7th July.
As part of the 47th Independence anniversary celebration program, a float parade will also be organised throughout Honiara City to the National Stadium.
The Organising Committee is also offering prizes for the best float.
Organisations invited to join the float are encouraged to work hard in order to win the prizes.
Following the parade, a free musical live concert will also be staged at the Solomon Islands National University (SINU) Park commonly known as the FOPA Village.
The park currently hosts the 2025 national trade fair which is currently underway until Thursday next week.
Members of the public have been urged to turn up early to enjoy the event.
