Green Shield Football Club (FC) continued their impressive unbeaten streak in the 2025 S-League with a 2-0 victory over Southern United this afternoon, Saturday.
Goals from Fred Neuman and Clivert Sam in each half secured the victory for the side coached by Steve Aumanu Jnr.
Speaking to Star Sports after the match, Coach Aumanu praised his players for their hard-fought win and highlighted the team’s dedication in training as the foundation of their success.
“Harder games are still ahead, so we’ll continue to train hard like we always have and hope for more positive results in the coming fixtures,” he said.
With the league now into match-week five, Aumanu revealed that the team’s target is to finish within the top five by the end of the first round.
“Anything above fifth place after round one will be a bonus, as we’re focused on building this team of mostly young players and achieving the goals we set at the start of the year,” he added.
Meanwhile, other S-League results from Saturday saw Sosa FC and Waneagu United share points after their 2-all draw while Ghupo FC continued their winning form after edging FC Juniper Tree 1-0.
