Police are searching for a former national netball representative who went missing in the Rewa River currently.
She was collecting kai near the Navuso Agricultural School with another companion when the incident occurred this afternoon.
The Fiji Times has confirmed that the second woman drowned and her body has been recovered from the river.
The search continues for the missing former netball player.
