The focus now is on the Perth Sevens.
This was the gist of Fiji Airways Fiji men’s rugby sevens head coach, Osea Kolinisau’s interview with Fiji Rugby Media yesterday.
The no-nonsense coach said it is not good to look ahead to other tournaments but instead take each tournament as it comes.
“We’ve to go for a win,” he said.
“It’s best to build-up our points as we aim to win the series.”
The Fijians currently lead the HSBC SVNS points table.
Kolinisau said the players have adapted well to the weather in Perth. He highlighted that the experience of playing under the heat during the McDonald’s Coral Coast Sevens really helped the players to adapt.
‘We’ve developed really well. It was unfortunate that Jerry (Matana) and Sevu (Mocenacagi) got injured.
“The new boys stepped in well and took it from there,” he added.
The Filipe Sauturaga captained-side takes on Uruguay and Kenya today in their Pool C matches.
