Honiara – A fire broke out this afternoon, Thursday 9th October behind the Hatanga Hardwood area within the Ranadi industrial zone, East Honiara.

The blaze, which started under unclear circumstance, quickly spread throughout the complex before fire emergency services could reach the scene.

At least two small buildings and two vehicles were destroyed as a result from the blazing fire.

Authorities have yet to confirm the cause of the fire as investigation gets underway.

No casualties have been reported at this stage.
