The Fijiana XVs side is set-tling well in Edinburgh for their Test match against Scotland on Sunday morning (Fiji time) at the Hive Stadium.
Speaking to SUNsports Fijiana lock Asinate Serevi said the girls are adapting well and know the task at hand.
“Scotland is definitely cold but it’s been nice such a fun experience,” she said.
“The long flight haul was hectic with the time difference and weather but it’s nice.”
The side includes five players making their debut, with three of them from overseas and two from the local clubs.
The debutants are Penina Turova, Mary Kanace, Iva Sauira, Una Lalabalavu and Loraini Senivutu.
Head coach Mosese Rauluni fur-ther mentioned in an earlier interview, “It’s good to have the three international players training with us in Fiji.
“They have been in camp for a few months and are integrating well with the local players.”
Several local players who made their debut in the Vodafone Fi-jiana’s tests against Japan last month have retained their spots in the squad. They are Salanieta Nabuli, Tiana Robanakadavu, Un-aisi Lalabalavu, Salanieta Kinita, Merewairita Neivosa, and Atelaite Buna.
The Fijiana XV will embark on another groundbreaking journey as they travel to the Netherlands for their first-ever match against the Orange Ladies.
This highly anticipated fixture will take place on Thursday, September 19, at the NRCA Stadium in Amsterdam. The WXV 3 tournament will feature the Fijiana XV’s, Colombia, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Spain, and Kenya. Fiji’s first game will be against Colombia on October 13.
