The Vodafone Fijiana XV side is composed in their preparation against the Wallaroos at the Allianz Stadium in Sydney this Saturday.
Head coach Mosese Rauluni said his team has to be on form against the fifth ranked team in women’s rugby.
“The players have been training well and they’ve improved a lot since the Japan game, but time will tell when we go against the Wallaroos on Saturday,” he said.
“They (Wallaroos) have lost all their test matches so far but they’re still going to be strong.”
Rauluni said it will be a tough encounter against the Wallaroos on their home ground.
“We are playing away, different condition so it’s going to be a lot colder compared to the last time when we were in Australia,” he said.
“We can’t take them (Wallaroos) lightly as we have to be on song.”
Rauluni said they hope to utilise their backline with fast ball delivery.
“We have to defend well against the Wallaroos different shapes and formation in attack,” he said.
Rauluni is hopeful for a large support for the side in their match against the Wallaroos from the Fijian community in Sydney.
“It was great to get our contact session here in Fiji and go to Sydney,” he said.
“We’ll just do the basics right and prepare well for Saturday.”
The match kicks off at 6.45pm.
